Smoke Control coined this term over 12 years ago to avoid the confusion in the market with the term “Smoke Curtains”. Smoke Containment screens are designed and tested in accordance with AS1530.7 to provide minimal amounts of smoke leakage. Unlike Smoke Curtains, the performance of smoke containment screens does not rely on mechanical smoke control systems, providing an additional layer of reliable life safety for Alternative solutions/Performance based design.

Architects and interior designers can now use Smoke Control’s smoke containment screens to eliminate permanent enclosures such as lift lobbies, smoke lobbies, smoke doors and smoke walls.  Our systems are virtually invisible during normal building use and only deploy on alarm.
