Working with our experienced team, interns collaborate on projects across core disciplines of project management, manufacturing, research and development and design of fire rated products to meet fire engineering specifications.
Our interns are supported and coached to deliver successful business outcomes. Many of Smoke Control’s valued team members began their careers through the UTS internship program.

Installer / Shutters and Windows
SYDNEY
We currently have an opening in our Projects team for two or more Installation Technicians to install, service and maintain our products. This position is based primarily in Sydney, but can include travel.
Familiarity and conformity with WHS regulations, PPE requirements, toolbox talks, inductions, SWMS experience is essential.
- Trade experience installing roller doors, shutters or glazing would be beneficial, the ability to read mechanical drawings is vital.
- You will need to be dependable, respectful, with the ability to problem solve & trouble shoot onsite.
- Driver’s license and utility vehicle, own hand & basic power tools are required. (Company vehicle negotiable for the right candidate)
This position would suit an electrician, carpenter, or similar, though product training will be provided for the right candidate.
Production Hand / Warehouse Assembly
SYDNEY
Based in Sydney and servicing all of Australia & New Zealand, we are currently taking expressions of interest in our Production team.
Fulltime / Part time / Flexible.
We are looking for a variety of skills, and would love to hear from you if you have experience in any of the following:
- Parts assembly
- Steel / Metal working - including grinding, cutting, assembly
- Welding - Mig
- Sewing - industrial, heavy fabric,
Familiarity and conformity with WHS regulations, PPE requirements, and toolbox talk participation is essential.
Production experience or experience in warehousing with the ability to take accurate measurements, read work orders and basic mechanical drawings, and the safe use of hand & power tools is crucial. Additional tasks include picking/packing, assisting with stock take / cycle counting etc.
